The Iowa Hawkeye football team got a big boost on Wednesday, when reigning Tatum-Woodson Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year Riley Moss announced he would return to Iowa for a 5th season on social media.

Moss was named an All-American by multiple outlets after the regular season, and was seen as a front-runner for the Jim Thorpe Award before injuring his PCL after making an interception against Penn State. Moss did not return until the Minnesota game, but still played well enough to be named the top defensive back in the Big Ten.
The return of Moss gives Iowa a bona fide lockdown corner, in a defensive backfield that is one of the most talented in all of college football headed in 2022.
