The Webster City Lynx wrestling team returns to North Central Conference action on Thursday night, as they travel east to face off with Hampton-Dumont-CAL. The Lynx enter the dual following a blowout win over Forest City on Tuesday night, 69-10.
The Lynx enter with 3 ranked wrestlers in Cam Phetxoumphone, Carson Doolittle and CJ Hisler at 120 pounds, 113 pounds and 195 pounds. The Lynx lightweights will have a challenge with an HD-CAL team that has ranked wrestlers at 106 and 113 in Jayson Stevens and Charlie Showalter. 113 pounds will feature the lone ranked matchup of the night with #10 Showalter and #3 Carson Doolittle.
At the heavier weights, HD-CAL’s Carl Barkema is ranked #5 at 160 pounds, where he will face off with Webster City’s Brady Jessen. However, the Lynx will look to dominate the heavier weights behind the performances of CJ Hisler, Jaxon Cherry and Landon Griffin, who have have been riding on hot streaks this season.
The meet is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM at Hampton-Dumont-CAL High School.
