The Webster City Lynx return to action for the 2022 portion of their schedule, as they host the Rams of Greene County at Webster City High School. The Rams girls enter with a 1-7 record, while the Rams boys enter with a 4-4 record, both as members of the Heart of Iowa Conference.
The Greene County girls enter with a 1-7 record, with their lone win coming against Ogden in the season opener. The Rams are led by senior forward Brianna Habben, who is the teams leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 9 points and just under 9 rebounds per contest. Webster City looks to build off of their first win of the season against St. Edmond’s prior to winter break.
The Greene County boys enter with a 4-4 record, dropping their last two games before break to Carroll Kuemper and Nevada. The Rams are led by junior guard Richard Daugherty, who is averaging 17 PPG at the halfway point of the season. Junior Jesse Miller has been a dominant figure in the paint, averaging 14.5 PPG and leading the team in rebounding with 7.3 RPG. Webster City looks continue their hot shooting with Jamie Grossoehme and Ty McKinney.
