The last meeting of the year for the Wright County Board of Supervisors will be this Monday morning, December 27 at 9:00 a.m. in the courthouse basement board room in Clarion. Monday’s agenda includes a meeting with Wright County sheriff Jason Schluttenhofer on presenting the name of a new hire in the county jail pending approval. The appointment of Aaron Carda as a new sheriff’s deputy and Caleb Carmichael as a civil service server will be made to the board. A public hearing redistricting the polling sites will be held at 9:30. A meeting with the Wright County Fair Board will be at 9:45 as they present their annual update and a a request for continued funding of the fair. The board will receive an update from county engineer Adam Clemons on road projects and to remove Emmet Avenue as a no snow removal designation. Todd Swalin will be appointed to the county conservation board to replace Tom Thompson’s term to expire June 30,2024. Wright County wellness committee chair Shari Plagge will present the 2022 Iowa State Association of Counties Wellness Agreement to participate in the wellness program for county employees. There will also be a report from the emergency operations center on COVID-19 in Wright County plus other matters.
