The Webster City Lynx basketball teams round out the 2021 portion of their schedule on Tuesday night as the host the Gaels of Fort Dodge, St. Edmond in North Central Conference play. The Gaels girls are 0-6, while the Gaels boys are 3-3.
The girls game will feature a matchup of two teams looking for their first win of the season. The Lynx currently sit at 0-8, similar to the Gaels 0-6 record. St. Edmond is led in scoring by senior Gracie Harvey, who’s averaging 6.3 PPG. Junior Katie Flaherty is also averaging 6 PPG, while leading the Gaels in rebounding with 5 RPG. Livia Kasch currently leads the Lynx in scoring with 7.3 PPG, while Kelly Stoakes averages 6 PPG.
The boys game features two teams sitting at or near .500 as they head into winter break, as the Lynx enter with a 3-2 record. Lynx point guard Ty McKinney is fresh off a career night against Algona, with 31 points against the Bulldogs, while junior Jamie Grossoehme will look to continue his hot 3-point shooting. Hayden Mayer has been the star for the Gaels, averaging nearly 17 PPG this season, while also collecting nearly 8.5 RPG.
Tipoff is slated for 6 PM at Webster City High School.
