South Hamilton basketball travels to West Marshall on Tuesday night

The South Hamilton Hawks close out their 2021 schedule with a trip to State Center to face off with the West Marshall Trojans. The West Marshall girls currently sit at 8-0 and are ranked #9 in Class 3A, while the West Marshall boys currently sit a 3-5.

The girls kickoff the night with a matchup of two teams currently sitting near the top of the Heart of Iowa Conference standings. The 11th-ranked Trojans are led by superstar junior Katy Reyerson, who leads the team in nearly every major statistical category, including points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. South Hamilton hopes to have Hallee Feaker back in the mix, after she missed the Roland-Story game with a minor injury. If she is unavailable, Makenna Galetich will look to carry the load for the 2nd straight game.

The boys follow up with a matchup of two teams still searching for their identities early in the season. The 3-5 Trojans have relied heavily on senior guard Joey Tollefson, who is averaging 18 PPG as well as 3.5 APG on the young season. Forward Anthony Schuyler is 2nd on the team in scoring, while leading the team in rebounding. South Hamilton will look for upperclassmen such as Landon Skartvedt, Teegan Trask and Tucker Clabaugh to up their scoring output.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6 PM from State Center.
