Hamilton County Compensation Board set salaries for the county’s elected officials for 2022-23

The Hamilton County Compensation Board met last Friday afternoon to set the salaries of the county’s elected officials for the 2022-23 fiscal year beginning next July 1. The Hamilton County sheriff will see a 18.04 percent increase in salary from the current $94,254 to a new salary of $111,257. The other elected officials will see a 5 percent increase in their salaries for the next fiscal year. The proposed salary for the county attorney would be at $91,847 up from the current salary of $87,131. County auditor would be t $77,529 up from the current salary of $73,837. The recorder’s salary is being set at $71,314 up from the current rate at $67,918.
The county treasurer’s salary would be at $72,129 up from the current $68, 694 amount. The three county supervisors salary for next fiscal year would be set at $47,866 plus $2000 for the chairman up from the current $45,587 plus $2000 for the chairman. The county supervisors will review the recommendation at a future board meeting.
