South Hamilton wrestling competes at Jim Kinyon Invitational

The South Hamilton wrestling teams made the short trip across county lines on Saturday, to compete at the Jim Kinyon Norsemen Invitational at Roland-Story High School in Story City on Saturday. Teams competing on Saturday included Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Winterset, Southeast Polk, the host Norsemen, Knoxville, Southeast Valley, East Marshall/GMG, Gilbert, Saint Ansgar, Grinnell and Riceville.

Brent Greenfield was the lone individual champion for the Hawks at 182 pounds, picking up a pin over 2A #3 Riley Hoven from Winterset. Greenfield sits at 16-1 on the season and won all three matches on Saturday by fall.

Adley Peters finished 4th at 220 pounds, winning 2 matches by fall, and falling to Winterset’s Jadyn Cooper and Hampton-Dumont-CAL’s Cole Freerks. Holden Klein, Braden Young, and Graham Peters all placed 5th for South Hamilton, while Carter Stolee placed 8th at 152 pounds.

South Hamilton will compete at the Southeast Valley quadrangular on Tuesday night in Gowrie.
