Christmas is coming up later this week. There will be closings of note due to the upcoming holiday. Many area stores will be open until their regular time or closing early on Friday afternoon, December 24. The only stores open on Christmas will be the convenience stores
. The Hamilton County Courthouse and all county offices will close at 12 noon on Thursday,December 23 for the Christmas weekend. The Webster City municipal building will be closed all day on Friday,December 24. All governmental offices will reopen again on Monday,December 27. All Webster City financial institutions will be open on Friday morning, December 24 and will close for Christmas at 12 noon. The Kendall Young Library will be closed from Friday,December 24 through Monday,December 27 to reopen again on Tuesday,December 28 at 10:00 am. Fuller Hall recreation center will be closed both Friday, December 24 and Saturday,December 25 and will reopen again on Sunday,December 26. Students in Webster City schools will be on their winter break from after the end of the school day on Tuesday, December 21 through Tuesday,January 4,2022 when school is back in session. The Webster City post office lobby will be open as usual on Christmas Day but there will be no city or rural delivery of mail on Christmas Day with the exception of Express Mail of Christmas packages. The customer service window will be closed Christmas Day. Mail service resumes on December 27.
The KQWC-KZWC business office will be closed on Friday,December 24 to reopen again on Monday,December 27 at 8:00 a.m.
