The Webster City Lynx basketball teams hit the road again on Tuesday night, as they travel to Hampton to face off with the Bulldogs of Hampton-Dumont-CAL. The Bulldog girls enter with a 4-1 record, while the Bulldog boys enter with a 3-0 record.
The girls tip things off at 6 PM as Hampton-Dumont-CAL looks to keep pace with the top of the North Central Conference early in the season. The Bulldogs are led by the 1-2 punch of seniors Avery Hanson and Lauren Meader. Hanson enters averaging 15.2 PPG, while Meader averages 14.8 PPG, making up over half of the team’s 49.0 PPG. The Webster City girls are still fighting for win #1 on the season.
The boys then take the floor as Webster City looks to snap a 2-game losing skid. Scott Harr leads Hampton-Dumont-CAL with 13 PPG, while the sophomore also averages 10.7 RPG. Junior point guard Marco Gurrero is averaging nearly 7 APG as well. Webster City will follow the play of the trio of Ty McKinney, Jayce Neuroth and Jamin Stuhr.
