Two area fire departments battle house fire in Dayton on Sunday afternoon.

Fire fighters from two communities spent Sunday afternoon battling a house fire in Dayton. The Dayton and Stratford Fire Departments were dispatched to 302 First Avenue Northeast in Dayton shortly after 4 on Sunday. There were no injuries reported. It took a few hours to bring the fire under control. Dayton fire chief Luke Hainzinger said the fire started in the front bedroom of the single story residence. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
