South Hamilton wrestling finished 4th at Central Springs Round Robin

The South Hamilton wrestling team made the trek north on Saturday morning to partake in the Central Springs Round Robin in Nora Springs. Other teams competing included Mason City Newman, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, BCLUW, Tripoli and the host Panthers.

The Hawks finished 4th in the tournament, with the champion being the hosts in Central Springs. Holden Klein finished 2nd at 106, with Central Springs’ Dawson Jacobsen the only other competitor in the field, and Jacobsen picked up the fall over Klein in 27 seconds in the final. Keyton Remsburg took home the title at 126 pounds, picking up three falls en route to the title.

Braden Young would take home the title at 132 pounds, as the freshman went 5-0 on the day. Brent Greenwood would pickup the title at 182 pounds, pinning every wrestler he faced on Saturday in under a minute, as the 9th-ranked wrestler at 182 in 1A finished the day 5-0. Landon Stolee would place 2nd at 195 pounds, Carter Stolee placed 3rd at 152 pounds, as Bobby Tapper and Adley Peters placed 5th at 138 pounds and 220 pounds respectively.

South Hamilton will be back in action on Thursday, as they host a quadrangular with Collins-Maxwell, West Marshall and Des Moines North at 6 PM in Jewell.
