Webster City schools announcing protocol for school cancellations this winter.

Although the weather has been mostly mild so far this year, the
Webster City Community School District is preparing for possible school closures due to winter
weather conditions in the weeks and months ahead.
Due to state legislative changes, any snow days that occur this school year will be traditional
no-school days. There will be no virtual learning provided on these days. If it becomes
necessary to make up snow days, the District will inform families as quickly as possible.
“As we approach the next few months, we know that it’s only a matter of time before winter
weather makes it necessary to call off school,” said Dr. Mandy Ross, Superintendent. “We want
our families to be prepared for possible school closures and what that means for teaching and
learning.”
Parents or guardians who have questions about the District’s snow day policy are encouraged
to contact their child’s school office
