The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls basketball team had many questions going into Monday’s season-opener as to how the team would perform with many new faces getting significant minutes. Those questions were answered in a positive light on Monday night, with their 65-56 win over Southeast Valley.
The Cowgirls star was their lone returning starter in Lexie Lane, who contributed a career-high 36 points on Monday night to carry a large chunk of the CGD load.
Next action for CGD will be next Monday, when they face off with Eagle Grove in a Wright County Rivalry matchup at 6 PM at Eagle Grove Elementary School.
