South Hamilton football players take home All-District honors

The South Hamilton Hawks finished the 2021 football season 4-5, with a 4th playoff appearance in 5 seasons, but a season plagued with injuries and close games that did not bounce the way of the Hawks.

However, South Hamilton was well-represented on the Class 1A, District 2 All-District squads. Fullback Austin Busch took home co-Offensive MVP honors, especially impressive for a player who missed the first 3 games of the season. Busch was also a 1st-team running back, as Brent Greenfield and Owen Duns were 1st-team offensive line, Landon Skartvedt was 1st-team linebacker, and Preston Van De Pol was 1st-team defensive back.

2nd-team All-District selections for South Hamilton included tight end Nic Falugh, offensive lineman Stellen Willis, defensive lineman Jack Moline, linebacker Gatlin Johnson, and punter Tycin Barkema. Offensive Linemen Landon Stolee and Kaden Schwandt were honorable mentions for South Hamilton.
