The Webster City girls basketball team will look to add more wins to the win column in 2021-22 than they had in 2020-21. The Lynx finished in the cellar of the North Central Conference and recorded a 3-16 overall record, and 1-11 in the conference.
The Lynx lose two of their top 3 leading scorers in Jenna MIller and Leah Kasch from last year’s squad, who averaged 15.9 points of the Lynx’s 34.7 points per game a season ago. Webster City’s 2nd-leading scorer in Kelly Stoakes returns, as she averaged just under 7.9 points per game in 2020-21.
Younger players that will step into larger roles include Livia Kasch, who averaged just over 3.5 points per game as a sophomore, and Alley Odland, who averaged 4.2 points per game last season. Others who will step into larger roles include Reese and Fallon Casey, Shelby Queen and Trinity Griffith.
Webster City opens its season on Friday against the Boone Toreadors at Webster City High School.
