A meeting of the Wright County Supervisors will be this Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the courthouse basement board room in Clarion. The board will consider and act on a new hire in the sheriff’s office, hold the canvas of votes for the November 2 city and school elections. and an update on secondary roads with county engineer Adam Clemons. In other agenda items, the supervisors will meet with John Torbert of the Iowa Drainage District Association with his annual update. An official with the Elderbridge Agency on Aging will present the yearly report on the organization. Clarion city administrator Clint Middleton will make a request to the board an abatement of taxes on Lots 7 and 8 Block 1 of the Gates Subdivision in Clarion. An update on COVID-19 will be shared. There will be a closed session of the Wright County supervisors to discuss matters in litigation or where litigation is imminent.
