The Webster City Lynx will open the Class 4A State Playoffs at Lynx Field on Friday night, as they host the 10th-ranked Norwalk Warriors for their first-round game. The Warriors finished 6-3 and a third-place finish in Class 4A, District 5.

Maddux Borcherding-Johnson leads a stout defense with 11 tackles for loss.
Webster City finished the regular season with a strong performance against Denison-Schleswig. Lynx running back Jaxon Cherry’s 210 yards and 4 touchdowns, puts him with 671 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season. CJ Hisler still leads the team in rushing with 744 yards and 5 touchdowns. Connor Hanson and Ty McKinney have combined for nearly 900 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. The Lynx also look for Keegan Hisler to have a big day as a pass-rusher against the pass-heavy Warriors.
