The South Hamilton Hawks concluded it’s regular season on Thursday as the hosted conference foe, Prairie City-Monroe in Jewell. The winner would claim 5th place in the conference standings for the 2021 season.
PCM got out of the gate hot, as they picked up hard-fought wins in the first two sets, by scores of 25-22 and 25-23. South Hamilton would pick up a win in extras in set 3, with a 26-24 win. Set 4 was dominated by the Hawks, as the downed the Mustangs 25-13, as it looked like PCM was losing steam. However, PCM had the last laugh as they were able to gut out a 15-13 win in set 5, to take home a 3-2 victory.
South Hamilton finishes the regular season with a 12-16 record, and will face Woodward-Granger in the first round of districts next week.
