Webster City’s volleyball team will close out conference play on Thursday as they face off with the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden. With a Lynx win, paired with a Clarion-Goldfield-Dows win over Humboldt, the Lynx would clinch a share of the North Central Conference title.
The Cadets have been lead offensively, by sophomore Ella Sharar, who has amassed 113 kills on the season. Setter Shelbie Risley has accumulated 235 assists on the season as well, while Sharar leads the team in blocks with 17. Senior Elly Wood leads the team in digs with 272.
Webster City enters Thursday’s game behind the hitting trio of Sierra Rattenborg, Livia Kasch and Reese Casey. Rattenborg leads the team in kills with 231, while Joslin Gourley continues to perform as one of the top setters in the state with 534. Reese Casey and Abby Gallentine have combined for 69 blocks on the season, while Alayna Finucan has collected 388 digs.
First serve is scheduled for 7:30 PM at Iowa Falls-Alden High School.
