The 50th edition of the North Central Conference cross country meet was held at Oakridge Golf Course in Clarion on Tuesday evening. All 8 conference teams were able to perform as complete teams on Tuesday night.
Clear Lake took home the boys conference title with a meet score of 31. Webster City placed 6th in the conference meet, with the top finisher in senior Cole Reiling, who placed 12th in a time of 18:16. Fellow senior Jose Ramirez finished 15th in a time of 18:29. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys finished 8th, with their top finisher in junior Jacob Ingebritson, who placed 33rd in a time of 19:48.
Fort Dodge, St. Edmond took home the girls conference title with a meet score of 61, just 3 points lower than the Clear Lake squad. Webster City’s girls placed 7th at the meet, with their top placer in junior Emma Peck, who placed 17th in a time of 23:02. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows finished 8th in the meet, with their top placer in sophomore Ashley Fennel, who placed 34th in a time of 24:49.
