The South Hamilton Hawks had their turn to host the Heart of Iowa Conference meet on Monday evening. All 8 schools that make up to conference were in attendance, although only 7 teams competed as full teams on Monday night.
The South Hamilton girls finished runner-up in conference meet, with a meet score of 62. Roland-Story were the girls champion with a meet score of 25. The Hawks top finisher was senior Madison Beaune, who placed 7th in a time of 22:21, senior Anna Lammers and junior Annika Kienzle finished 9th and 10th, with times of 22:34 and 22:37 respectively.
On the boy side, the South Hamilton boys finished 5th out of the 7 teams, with a meet score of 108. Nevada was the boys champions with a meet score of 32. South Hamilton’s top finisher was junior Landon Grove, who placed 8th in a time of 18:28, junior Eli Potter finished 10th in a time of 19:05.
