The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball team will take a quick detour from conference play, to face off with the Cardinals of Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, members of the Top of Iowa Conference.
The Cardinals enter Tuesday’s match with a mark of 18-7 on the season, but just 3-5 in the Top of Iowa West. GHV has been lead by the hitting duo of seniors Chloe Frank and Rylee Frayne, who have collected 200 kills and 124 kills respectively. Sophmore Kenedee Frayne has been superb from her setter spot, amassing 461 assists on the season, while fellow sophomore Gretta Gouge has collected 30 blocks.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows enters Tuesday’s match, playing some of their best volleyball of the season. Cowgirls junior Lexie Lane has been their star hitter with 259 kills, while senior Summer Traub sits at exactly 100 kills on the season. Sydney Frieselben has seen extended run as the Cowgirls setter, as Traub and Lane have lead the way defensively, combining for 56 blocks this season.
First serve is scheduled for 7 PM at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura High School in Garner.
