South Hamilton’s cross country team hosted it’s annual invitational on Thursday at Jewell Golf and Country Club. Teams who competed on the boys side include Class 1A #2 AC/GC, East Marshall, West Marshall, Roland-Story, Madrid, BCLUW, and Colo-NESCO.
The South Hamilton boys finished 4th in the meet, with a meet score of 129. AC/GC was the boys champions with a score of 39. The top South Hamilton runner was Junior Landon Grove, who finished 17th in a time of 18:31. Fellow junior Eli Potter finished 19th in a time of 19:06.
On the girls side, the Hawks competed against Class 2A #15 Roland-Story, Class 1A #11 AC/GC, East Marshall, West Marshall, Madrid, BCLUW, Colo-NESCO and Eagle Grove. The South Hamilton girls finished 5th in the meet with 110 points, with Meet Champion Roland-Story finished with 45. Junior Annika Kienzle finished 12th in a time of 22:33, while Anna Lammers and Madison Beaune finished 20th and 21st in times of 23:25, respectively.
