The Webster City Lynx cross country teams traveled to Eldora to participate in the South Hardin Invitational on Saturday. The Lynx were joined by the host Tigers, East Marshall, Iowa Falls-Alden, GMG, Garwin, North Tama and Baxter.
The Lynx boys finished second in the meet, behind the Mustangs of East Marshall. Senior Jose Ramirez was Webster City’s top placer, as he finished runner-up to meet champion Joe Terrones, running a time of 18:38. Fellow senior Cole Reiling finished 7th in a time of 19:39, while senior Sam Moberly finished 13th in a time of 20:43.
The Lynx girls finished 4th in the meet, which was also won by East Marshall. Junior Emma Peck finished 5th overall, in a time of 23:56. Senior Jacie Crutcher finished 11th in a time of 25:07, while freshman Karina Murray placed 15th in a time of 26:04.
