Webster City, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows and Eagle Grove will all be in action on Tuesday in Eagle Grove for the Dick Bell Invitational. The rest of the field will consist Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, Algona, Belmond-Klemme, North Iowa, West Fork, GTRA, Estherville-Lincoln Central, Humboldt, Gilvert, Bishop Garrigan, South Hardin and Emmetsburg.
Webster City’s boys are fresh off a runner-up finish at the South Hardin Invite, while the girls are fresh off a 4th place finish as well. Jose Ramirez and Cole Reiling will look to set the tone for the Lynx boys runners, while the Lynx girls will follow behind their bellcow in Emma Peck.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows last ran at the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Invite in Hampton last Thursday, where the boys placed 11th, and the girls did not compete as a complete team. The Cowboys have been without Jacob Ingebritson as of late, but freshman Christopher Greenfield has stepped up as a leader. The Cowgirls have been lead by sophomore Ashley Fennel.
Eagle Grove last ran at the Algona Invitational on Monday, September 27th. The Eagles have been lead by strong improvements from underclassmen, and junior Drake Weland and sophomore Noah Thul have been their bellcows throughout the season. The Eagle Grove girls have been lead by junior Maddie Axtell.
