The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball team will make the trip to Hampton on Thursday night to face off with the Bulldogs of Hampton-Dumont-CAL in North Central Conference play. The Cowgirls enter Thursday’s match with a 15-13 record, while the Bulldogs are 2-12.
The Bulldogs have been lead offensively, by the trio of Kortney Dunt, Aubryee Showalter and Aja Sheppard. Dunt and and Showalter are tied for the team lead in kills with 50 a piece. Aja Sheppard has a team-high 128 assists on the season as well. Junior Emma Showalter leads the team in blocks with 11, while senior Addyson Showalter leads the team in digs with 117.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows continues to follow behind the phenomenal play of junior Lexie Lane, who leads the team in kills with 227. Senior Summer Traub and junior Clarissa Hasty are 2nd and 3rd in kills with 90 and 75, respectively. Junior Karlee Lehman leads the team in assists with 137, while senior Nikki Kapka has 125 assists.
