Eagle Grove will look to right the ship after back-to-back losses on Friday night, as they make the short trip west to face off with the Cougars of Manson-Northwest Webster. The all-time series between the 2 is knotted at 4-4 dating back to 1998. Manson-NW Webster won the last matchup between the two schools, 21-6 in 2017.
The Cougars offense is lead by senior quarterback Shawn Kenyon, who has thrown for 797 yards and 6 touchdowns, but has thrown for 7 interceptions. Manson’s rushing attack is lead by senior running back Tate Bianchi, who has rushed for 816 yards and 6 touchdowns in the first 5 weeks of the season. Defensively, the Cougars are lead by the linebacking duo of Brodie Anderson and Ian Kohnen, who have combined for 50 tackles, 4 sacks and 12 tackles for loss this season.
Eagle Grove was able to avoid the shutout against South Central Calhoun last week, as Tate Richardson and Blake Morgan were able to find the endzone in the 2nd half for the Eagles. The Eagles hope to have Jake Jeske back, as he missed last week’s game with an injury. Roberto Calles and Blake Morgan look to spearhead the Eagles rushing attack.
Kickoff will come at 7 PM from the Keith Hart Athletic Complex in Manson,
