Clarion-Goldfield-Dows looked to make it a perfect week on Thursday night against Iowa Falls-Alden. After sweeping a triangular against Pocahontas Area and Algona, the Cowgirls made it a 3-for-3 week with a 3-1 win against the Cadets.
CGD took set 1 by a score of 25-16, before Iowa Falls-Alden put together an equally impressive 2nd set, winning by a score of 25-15. The Cowgirls responded emphatically, as they took Set 3 by a score of 25-20, before dominating the Cadets in the 4th set by a score of 25-11.
Nikki Kapka lead the way with 5 kills on the night, while Kennedy Trca finished with 4 schools. Kapka also lead the team in assists with 8, while junior Karlee Lehman finished with 5 assists. Defensively, senior Summer Traub lead the way with 2 blocks, while senior Brooke Askelsen had 12 digs.
