Clarion-Goldfield-Dows hosted a triangular on Tuesday night as they hosted Pocahontas Area and Algona. The Cowgirls swept the night as they defeated Pocahontas Area 2-0, and Algona 2-1. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows moved to 12-9 on the season with the sweep.
The Cowgirls faced off with Pocahontas Area to start the night and made quick work of the Indians. CGD took Set 1 by a final of 25-13, before dominating again in Set 2, taking it by a score of 25-16. The Cowgirls then moved on to North Central Conference foe Algona, and took the Bulldogs down in 3 sets. CGD took Set 1 by a score of 25-20, before Algona rallied in Set 2, 25-21. It would be CGD that would steal the final set, 15-11.
Lexie Lane finished the night with 18 total kills, while Kennedy Trca finished with 10 kills. Karlee Lehman lead the way in assists with 17 throughout the 2 games, while Nikki Kapka had 13. Summer Traub finished with 4 blocks, while Nikki Kapka finished with 3 blocks.
