Clarion-Goldfield-Dows played host to Wright County rival Eagle Grove as the Eagles made the short trip east on Highway 3. The Cowgirls came into Thursday night fresh off their win over Clear Lake on Tuesday, while Eagle Grove is still in search of win #1 on the season.
CGD got off to a fast start, as they took Set 1 by a score of 25-11. The Cowgirls continued to strengthen their grip on the match as they dominated Set 2, 25-6, before sealing the deal quickly in Set 3, taking the final set 25-10.
Lexie Lane lead the way with 10 kills on the night, as she continues her high-level play. Karlee Lehman finished with 9 assists, while Nikki Kapka finished with 6 assists. Summer Traub and Lexie Lane also contributed 6 aces on the night.
