Eagle Grove comes into Week 3 of the high school football season, riding high off of finally snapping their 25-game overall losing streak to MVAOCOU last Friday. The Eagles will look to carry that momentum into a homecoming showdown with West Central Valley on Friday. Eagle Grove leads the all-time series between the two schools, 2-1.
West Central Valley comes to Eagle Grove with a 1-1 record, defeating North Mahaska in Week 1 before falling to Red Oak last Friday. The Wildcats are led by junior running back Kaedon Lindsay, who’s scored the lone touchdown for West Central Valley this season in their 7-0 win over North Mahaska. The Wildcats offense is engineered by quarterback Nate Gerling.
Eagle Grove will ride their rushing attack that includes quarterback Tate Richardson, full back Jake Jeske and supporting backs Blake Morgan, Orlando Hernandez and Roberto Calles. Jeske moved from quarterback to fullback following Tate Richardson’s move to quarterback, and excelled against MVAOCOU last week.
Kickoff will come at 7 PM from Robert Blue Middle School in Eagle Grove.
