The Associated Press released it’s new rankings at 1 PM Tuesday afternoon and the state of Iowa watched with great interest. Iowa State was expected to perhaps slide a little, following their 16-10 win over FCS foe Northern Iowa, and Iowa was expected to vault up the rankings after their demolition of then-#17 Indiana.
Both of these expectations came to fruition, as Iowa State did slide down from 7th to 9th in this weeks AP Poll. The surprise, however, was that Iowa jumped all the way from 18th into the Top 10 of the AP Poll, setting the stage for #9 vs. #10 at Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
ESPN’s College Gameday will be in attendance, with the show running from the south side of Jack Trice Stadium from 8 AM to 11 AM. You can listen to the Iowa State call of the game with John Walters and Eric Heft on 95.7 KQWC. You can also listen to the Iowa call of the game with Gary Dolphin and Ed Podolak on 92.9/1570 KZWC. Kickoff is at 3:30 PM.
