Eagle Grove volleyball continues to search for win #1 on the 2021 season as the second week of games marches on. While the Eagles didn’t find it Tuesday night against West Hancock, the Eagles continued to show marked improvement from the first week of the season.
West Hancock took set one by a final of 25-19 against Eagle Grove in the battle of the birds. West Hancock then took set two by a final of 25-15, before closing the night out with a 25-18 win in set 3 to complete the sweep. Junior Braxton Steil led Eagle Grove in kills with 4, while sophomore Maddie Kaiser led the team in assists with 8.
Eagle Grove is back in action on Thursday night as they travel across Wright County to take on Belmond-Klemme in Belmond. The Eagles lost to the Broncos earlier in the season at the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows tournament by a final of 2-0.
