Webster City Volleyball saw their first action of the regular season on Monday night as they traveled down to Roland-Story to partake in a quadrangular at Roland-Story High School in Story City. The Lynx finished the night 2-1 with a pair of wins over South Hamilton and Central Springs, and a loss to Roland-Story, who is ranked 14th in Class 3A according to the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
South Hamilton made the short trip from Jewell to Story City, and finished the night 0-3. However, the Hawks were very competitive throughout the night, forcing Webster City into extra points during the 1st set of the night. The Hawks return to action with hosting a triangular tonight in Jewell, with Southeast Valley and Eagle Grove. Webster City returns to action on Saturday, August 28th with the St. Edmond’s Invitational in Fort Dodge. The Lynx are scheduled to play St. Edmond’s, Pocahontas Area, and Algona Bishop Garrigan.
