Photo by Albert L. Ortega/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Are you really even friends if you don’t issue sarcastic digs to each other? While most friendships could survive without it, for Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, that answer is no.
Jackman took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message on to his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, on Saturday.
“These 24 years have been the best of my life!,” the 51-year-old Wolverine actor wrote. “And, as far as I can see, we keep getting better. I love you Debs with every fiber of my soul. Happy anniversary.”
Shortly after the throwback picture of the couple was posted, Reynolds dished out his two cents.
“Hang in there, Deb,” the 43-year-old commented.
Longtime pals, Reynolds and Jackman have been trolling each other for years, including a “truce” that Jackman apparently intentionally violated in early 2019.
Each star agreed to shoot commercials for the other’s extra curricular activities — Reynolds’ Aviation Gin, and Jackman’s charity-based Laughing Man Coffee.
But while Reynolds made good on his “gesture of goodwill” with a flattering ad, Jackman did not, spilling out Reynolds’ spirit to the Deadpool star’s alleged shock. “Sorry, man, I didn’t think the truce was actually real, Jackman said when the pair compared their efforts.
