Webster City Park and Recreation Commission to look at an urban forest management plan at their Thursday meeting.

The 2018 urban forest management plan for Webster City will be presented to the members of the Webster City Park and Recreation Commission at their meeting this Thursday afternoon at 5:15 in the Fuller Hall meeting room. The 32 page plan was prepared by Emma Hanigan of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. The plan was developed to assist Webster City with the management, budgeting and future planning of their urban forest. Further information will be released at Thursday’s meeting.

The commission will discuss additional canoe access areas for the Webster City community. There will be a review of hotel/motel grant applications for a pickleball clinic, the Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities and a Hamilton County Trail Master Plan/ Boone River Trail Extension to Kendall Young Park Preliminary Study plus other matters that may come before the commission.
