The Enhance Hamilton County Foundation has announced that their September Food Panty Community Challenge resulted in $6,875 in funds being raised to benefit Hamilton County area food pantries.
“We appreciate the support by charitable donors throughout Hamilton County to benefit the food pantries so they can provide assistance to the families they serve throughout Hamilton County,” said Darcy Swon, Enhance Hamilton County Foundation Development Director.
The donations have been sent directly to the food pantries and are broken down as follows: Trinity Lutheran Church (Webster City) $2,715.72; Stratford Food Pantry (Stratford) $1,350.72; Upper Des Moines Opportunity (Webster City) $587.68; St Paul Lutheran Church (Webster City) $333.35; The Lord’s Cupboard Bethesda Lutheran Church (Jewell) $1,257.46; and Asbury Methodist Church/All Cultures Equal $630.07. Donations to the food pantries were determined by the charitable donor’s request with a dollar match made by the Foundation. In addition, the Foundation added an additional $2,000 to the overall fund total raised.
