Plans for Jewell Jubilee and a budget amendment hearing will face the Jewell city council on Monday.

A budget amendment hearing for the 2017 fiscal year will be one of the agenda items at Monday’s Jewell city council meeting. The council will look at plans for next month’s Jewell Jubilee celebration with approval of a beer permit and a noise ordinance waiver. A final decision on the horse arena and electricity in the city park will also be made by the council. The Jewell city council will discuss a street repair project in front of 605 Main Street. There will also be discussion on a sidewalk replacement program and water plant improvement project. Information on a county-wide ATV ordinance will be presented to the council. The Jewell city council will also look at the issue of at-large and abandoned cats in the city limits plus other matters. Meeting time is set for 7:00 p.m, in the Jewell city hall.
