Webster City Post Office thanks community for support with Stamp Out Hunger.

The Webster City Post Office and its letter carriers would like to thank the community for supporting this year’s “Stamp Out Hunger” on Saturday,May 13. Webster City postmaster Harley Tapper said the carriers collected 2,957 pounds of food this year compared with 2,908 last year. Late last Saturday afternoon, the carriers delivered the non-perishable food to the Upper Des Moines Opportunity food pantry. Tapper said the local letter carrier’s union will be donating cash to the food pantries  at Trinity and St. Paul Lutheran churches.
